Ari van der Steenhoven spans a 25 years career in Asia and established DSM,ae middle-sized Dutch chemical company in China, during which he supplied vital support for the founding of a number of ventures in China, which are successful and profitable. He was active in the negotiation of a number of joint ventures and in the redesigning of ventures that were less than optimal. Van der Steenhoven has an extensive network of contacts, in the chemical industry and beyond.

Ari van der Steenhoven retired from DSM in 2005 and has settled as an independent consultant in Shanghai.

He has been speaking amongst other for meetings of Chemweek, Science Alliance, the Benelux Business Association, Shell strategic meetings and an IP conference in Shanghai.

His topics are: China’s market entry; HR policies for companies in China; China’s industrial development; IP protection; training policies for companies in China.
