As an analyst and author, Bill’s expertise lays in analyzing critical social and economic drivers in China that impact corporate strategic planning and investment portfolios to assist companies in responding with greater speed and flexibility to emerging market conditions.
Bill has been writing and advising on China-business and -economics issues, and managing companies in China since 2002. He has been quoted in Bloomberg, Newsweek Magazine; The Economist; National Public Radio; China Economic Review; Shanghai Business Review; China International Business Magazine; The China Economic Quarterly and others. Bill is also a Principal of TrendsAsia Ltd. (Shanghai), which analyzes critical social and economic trends in China that impact corporate planning and product development. TrendsAsia works with the headquarters of corporations around the world to integrate international strategy, operational realities in China and critical-trends analysis to deliver well-grounded corporate development plans.
He is working on his second book, about the technology trends, energy and environmental sustainability issues, and innovations China is adopting and adapting to drive its society forward (Wiley, Spring 2012).
