Jim shares with audience his understanding of globalization and the impact of emerging markets (China) on European and American companies, from the perspective of a practitioner.
Jim Enters worked for the Chemicals Group of Akzo Nobel, a multinational company with head-office in The Netherlands, from 1965 till 2003. Most of his career with Akzo Nobel he worked in Sales & Marketing, Product management as well as General management for the Business Unit Catalysts (Petroleum-refining- and Petrochemical catalysts) out of the dutch headoffice as well as 10 years in Houston,Texas, USA.
In 1994 he became Country Representative and President of Akzo Nobel in Seoul, Korea and from 1997-2002 he was Country Representative and President of Akzo Nobel China in Shanghai, China.
After a 38 years career with Akzo Nobel he retired at the end of 2002 to start his own business in Shanghai as a Consultant, advising foreign companies on their investments in China. He is also doing sourcing of chemicals and metal-products in China for export.
