PCR test

Inbound visitors to China do not need a PCR test starting April 29, confirmed by Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning on Tuesday at a press briefing in Beijing, although travelers will still need to show a COVID antigen test result taken within 48 hours of departure, according to media reports.

It is a next – and long overdue – step China has taken since it started to abolish the zero-covid policies in December 2022.
